How not to see someone's Instagram stories
First, let's see how not to see a person's Instagram stories silencing them and removing any notifications activated for the latter.
Android
To disable other people's Instagram Stories on Android, you must log in to your account, go to the screen that groups the latest published stories and call up the function that allows you to block the display of those you are not interested in.
Therefore, access Instagram through its official app, tap on the symbol of cottage located at the bottom left and make a prolonged tap on the miniature of the story created by the user whose stories you do not want to see (located at the top), then presses on the wording Silence. At this point, fai tap sulla voce Turn off history, to disable only the display of the stories published by the user, or press on the item Turn off the story and posts, if you want to disable posts as well (in addition to stories).
If you want, you can also proceed in this other way: go to the Profile of the user whose stories you do not want to view (just click on the magnifying glass located at the bottom left, search for it using the Campo di Ricerca located at the top and then press on the corresponding result), press the button (∨) placed in correspondence with the item Follow already, tap on the item Silence in the menu that opened and move up OFF l'interruttore situato in corrispondenza della dicitura Stories.
In case of second thoughts, to reactivate the stories of the user you have decided to silence, go back to the home screen of the Instagram app, scroll down the list of miniatures of the stories view and locate the one you want to reactivate. Then keep your finger pressed on it and tap on the voice Reactivate the story. Otherwise, go to the Profile of the user in question, tap on the symbol (∨) located next to the wording Follow already, select the voice Silence in the opened menu and move to ON l'interruttore situato accanto alla dicitura Stories.
If you want to disable the notifications of the Instagram stories that you had previously activated, go to the Profile of your interest, tap on the symbol (∨) placed in correspondence with the wording Follow already and, in the box that opens, tap on the item Notifications. Next, move up OFF l'interruttore situato in corrispondenza della dicitura Stories And that's it. Simple, right?
From this moment, when the user will create a new story on Instagram, you will not receive any notification (unless you decide to reactivate the notifications, by moving again on ON the switch modified above).
iPhone
To disable other people's Instagram Stories on iPhone, you have to follow practically the same steps that I gave you in the chapter on Android. To proceed, then, access Instagram from its official app, press the icon of cottage located at the bottom left and make a long tap on the miniature of the story created by the user you want to silence, then press on the wording disable in the menu that appears.
Next, select the voice entry Turn off history, to disable only the display of the next stories published by the user, or the voice Turn off the story and posts, to deactivate both the story and the posts of the person in question.
Alternatively, go to the Profile of the user you want to silence (just press on the symbol of magnifying glass located at the bottom left, search for it using the search bar at the top and then tap on the corresponding result), press the button (∨) located next to the item Follow already, select the dicitura Silence in the opened menu, move to OFF the switch located in correspondence with the item Stories And that's it.
In case of second thoughts, to reactivate the story, go back to the home screen of the Instagram app, scroll through the list of miniatures of the stories (above), locate the one you want to reactivate, keep your finger pressed on it and tap on the item Reactivate. Alternatively, go to the Profile of the user you have silenced, presses the button (∨) placed in correspondence with the item Follow already, tap on the item Silence in the opened menu and move to ON l'interruttore situato accanto alla voce Stories.
Regarding the deactivation of the notifications of the Instagram stories that you had possibly activated for a particular profile, act as follows: go to Profile of your interest, click on the symbol (∨) located at the entry Follow already, tap on the item Notifications present in the opened box and moves up OFF the switch located in correspondence with the item Stories.
From now on, when the user creates a new story on Instagram, you will not receive any notification (unless you decide to reactivate notifications by moving to ON the switch modified before).
PC
want do not see Instagram stories from PC? I'm sorry but, at the time of writing, neither Instagram Web nor Instagram for Windows 10 allow you to silence the stories or disable any notifications activated for the latter.
Acting from mobile, however, the settings will be applied to your account and therefore will also affect the desktop version of the photo social network.
How to stop seeing stories on Instagram
It is your intention stop seeing stories on Instagram of a certain person, know that you can succeed in your intent in a rather simple way: just stop following them and you're done. Below you will find explained how to proceed both from mobile and from computer.
Android
To proceed on Android, you simply have to go to the profile of the person of your interest and press the button that allows you to stop following them on Instagram.
First, then, access Instagram from its official app, press the icon of magnifying glass located in the lower left, look for the Profile of your interest through the search bar placed at the top and tap on username corresponding.
Next, tap the button Follow already and then press on the item Don't follow anymore. If the profile in question is private, you will be told that if you stop following the person in question, in case of second thoughts you will have to ask the latter again to accept your eventual request to follow him. If you are actually willing to stop following the user on Instagram, confirm the operation by pressing the button Don't follow anymore, And that's it.

To proceed on iPhone, you must proceed in a similar way to what was said in the previous chapter on Android: go to the profile of the person you no longer want to follow on Instagram and press the appropriate button.

If you don't have your smartphone at hand at the moment and want to act from PC, go ahead. The procedure to follow is similar to the one I showed you in the previous lines, so you shouldn't have any problems completing it.
First, log in to Instagram from its web version or its application for Windows 10, type the user's name you want to unfollow in Campo di Ricerca located at the top and then click on his name to go to his profile.
Now, click on thelittle man with the tick symbol next to it, located at the top right, and click on the item Don't follow anymore present in the box that appeared on the screen. Easier than that ?!
