Make a story on Instagram from smartphones and tablets
A story about Instagram is a great way to share moments of your day with the people who follow you within the famous multimedia social network. Its implementation is very simple and it is possible to perform the operations that I will show you from Android or iOS mobile devices, having previously downloaded the Instagram application from Play Store or from ourApp Store and, once the download is complete, having registered or logged in to the platform (in case of problems, read my guide on how to download and install applications).
From the main screen of Instagram, first presses the button with the symbol of a little man which you can see in the bar below, in order to view the section related to your profile.
Now, press on yours profile picture, to launch the device camera and the story creation tool Instagram. If this is your first time using them, you may be asked to activate them, granting camera and microphone permissions: in this case, refer to my guide on how to activate Instagram Stories.
Before discovering in detail the tools you have at your disposal to make a story about Instagram, you need to adjust some privacy settings. To do this, press the button with the gear symbol which you can see at the top left and, via the menu Stories options, there are some very important items to keep in mind.
For example, you can indicate a Instagram the list of people you do not want to see the content you post in the stories; to do this, just click on the wording Hide the story and then put the check mark next to the people you want to blacklist (you can also search for a name using the search engine above).
You can also customize the option to reply to the stories you post - refer to the entry Allow replies to messages and put the check mark next to the items All, People you follow or No, depending on whether you want all people (and therefore also who you don't follow on Instagram) can respond, if you want to reserve this possibility for the people you follow or if you want no one to be able to respond to the content you post.
By moving the lever from OFF a ON, in correspondence with the wording Allow sharing, you can get people to share your story of Instagram as a message.
In correspondence with the wording Rescueyou can also move the levers from OFF a ON for the voices Save to Camera Roll e Save to archive; these endorsements cause the photos and videos you record for Instagram are saved in the memory of your device or only in thearchive di Instagram (section that contains all the stories of Instagram previously published and which is accessible from the profile, by tapping the button with the symbol of a clock).
Finally, if you have linked an account Facebook to your profile Instagram, you can put the check mark next to the item Share your Story on Facebook, so that this is automatically shared on your Facebook profile as well. At the end of the customization of these options, press the button end (on iOS) located at the top left (up Android the options are saved automatically).
The tools dedicated to the making of a story of Instagram, are visible using the built-in camera. All you need to do to make a story about Instagram is to press on the menu items at the bottom, which refer to instruments different from each other.
Pigia, quindi, sul pulsating Text if you want to share a story in the form of textual content, possibly changing the font of the typed text (the Bold) or by changing the background color (by tapping on the colored dot lateral); tap on the item Live if you want to start a live stream, the video of which can eventually be saved in the stories of Instagram, to be reviewed at a later time; push the button Normal to take a photo, record a video up to 15 seconds long or import a previously taken photo or video (using the button with the left panel symbol).
Another tool dedicated to making a story of Instagram is the button Boomerang, which allows you to make a short movie in loop. In addition, there are also buttons Super Zoom e Rewind which, respectively, allow you to create a short-duration movie with the zoom and rewind effect.
Finally, you can also take advantage of the video call recording mode Without holding down, useful for making a 15-second video, without having to keep pressing the button with the circle symbol. The instrument Step to oneinstead, it is used to make a stop motion video.
For tools that involve recording a video or taking a photo, there are also buttons with the two arrows symbol (used to switch from the rear camera to the front camera and vice versa), with the symbol of a smiley face (it relates to the real-time filters menu) and with the lightning bolt symbol (it relates to the different flash modes).
You can then use the tools of Instagram I just told you about to take a photo, record a video or import a multimedia content present in the memory of your device. Later, you can use the other additional tools you need to edit a story before it is published.
There are in fact the symbol of a sticker, symbol of a highlighter and the button with the simbolo Aa. Each of these mentioned buttons has different functions related to editing a story: pressing the button with the symbol of a sticker you can view the menu containing all the stickers, including the one you need to insert one mention, un hashtag, un place, a date or even a survey it's a GIF.
Il highlighter symbol it is instead useful for drawing on a photo, through the use of the various brushes that are visible on the screen. If, on the other hand, you want to write a personalized overlay message, press the button with the simbolo Aa, type the text to add, and then use the buttons Classic, Modern, Typewriter o Bold to change the font. Confirm the typed text by pressing on End.
Are you satisfied with what has been achieved? If so, press the button The tua storia, to publish the multimedia content within your stories Instagram, where it will be visible to platform users for 24 hours (if you have activated the archive, as explained in the previous lines, you can find the content published in this special section).
Alternatively, if you do not want to share the story online but only save it in the memory of your device, press the button Save, or press on the item Send to share the story of Instagram only to some selected people (by pressing the button Send in correspondence with their names).
The story you have published will be visible for 24 hours in your profile: just tap on yours profile picture to view it (or press the button with the symbol of a small house located at the bottom and then tap on yours profile picture at the section Stories you see above).
Optionally, you can delete a story posted before its automatic expiration. To do this, press on yours profile picture, then tap the button with the symbol (...) and finally press on Delete.
Make a story on Instagram from a computer
Instagram it is also available for use on Windows 10, by downloading the appropriate application from the Microsoft Store. However, the use of this application has some differences, as it is not possible to publish multimedia contents present in the memory of your computer within the stories.
To create a story about Instagram via the app for Windows 10, then start the application you downloaded previously, then press the button with the symbol of a little man and then tap on yours profile picture. If this is your first time using Instagram on Windows 10, you may be prompted to enable Instagram, granting permissions for the use of camera and microphone; in this case refer to my dedicated tutorial.
Using the application of Instagram for Windows 10, only some of the features for making a story are available: the button Text allows you to publish textual content; the button Normal it is used to make a short 15-second video or take a photo; then there are the buttons Rewind, Boomerang, Without holding down e Step to one whose operation is exactly identical to the application for Android e iOS.
After creating a multimedia content, you can take advantage of the other tools dedicated to customization that I have already told you about: the symbol of a sticker, symbol of a highlighter and simbolo Aa. For their use, please refer to the instructions I have given you in the previous lines.
Regarding the options dedicated to the privacy of the stories of Instagram (section Story settings, accessible by tapping the button with the gear symbol), there are the same menu items of the application for Android and iOS, only it is not possible to activate the functionality archive. As a result, stories published through the Instagram for Windows 10, they will expire at the end of 24 hours and will no longer be visible in this special section.
To post a story on Instagram, pigia sul pulsating Send to> Your story or put a check mark next to the name to which you want to send the created content (you can also search for a name using the internal search engine you see above). If you want to save the story to publish it later, press the button Save.
The stories published on Instagram via the app for Windows 10 are visible in your profile section and on the home screen (respectively the symbol of a little man and symbol of a small house) and can also be eliminated before the deadline, in the same way that it is possible to act from Android e iOS: in case of problems, refer to the information I provided in the paragraph dedicated to mobile devices.
