Change Instagram email from smartphone
Do you use Instagram mostly from your smartphone and would you like to understand how to change the email on the famous photographic social network using the app for Android and iOS mobile devices? No sooner said than done! I'll immediately explain how to proceed.
To begin with, grab your device, unlock it, access the Home screen, tap on the app icon Instagram (Quella with the camera with the multicolored background) and, if necessary, log in to your account by filling in the fields on the screen with your login data or by pressing the button to log in via Facebook.
Now that you see the main screen of the app, press the icon of thelittle man located at the bottom right, in order to access your profile, and tap the button Edit the profile placed on top.
At this point, locate the section Private information (below), presses on the field E-mail, delete the e-mail address shown in the field in question, type the new email account you want to use and tap on green tick (on Android) or on the voice end (on iPhone) top right. And voila!
Once this is done, an English-language message will be sent to the old email address by Instagram indicating, in fact, the fact that the previously used email address has been changed. If you have entered an incorrect email address or in any case in case of second thoughts, you can immediately remedy it by clicking on the link revert this change contained in the message.
Shortly thereafter, you will also receive another email message through which you will have to confirm the new email address entered. To do this, just click on the button confirm e-mail address attached to it.
Change Instagram email from computer
And for change Instagram email from computer? how you do it? I'll explain it to you right away. As in the case of the smartphone procedure seen together in the previous lines, the steps to be put into practice are very simple, much more than you can imagine.
To begin with, open the application Instagram available for Windows 10 on your PC. To do this, click on the relevant link (the one with the retro camera) present in Start menu. In the window that at this point you see appear on the desktop, log in to your account, if necessary, by filling in the fields on the screen with your login details or by clicking on the button to log in via Facebook.
Now that you see the Instagram Home, click on the symbol of thelittle man placed at the bottom right, in order to go to your profile. Then he presses the button Edit the profile (located at the top) and, in the new screen that appears, locate the field E-mail, at the section Private information.
Then delete the current email address reported and replace it with the new email account you want to associate with Instagram. Finally, confirm the changes made by clicking on the entry end located in the upper right part of the window.
At this point, an English-language message will be sent to the old email address from Instagram indicating that the previously used email account has been changed. If you have typed in an email address by mistake instead of another or if you have had second thoughts, you can resolve immediately by clicking on the link revert this change contained in the email.
Keep in mind that after a few seconds you will also receive another email that you will need to confirm the new address entered. Then click the button confirm e-mail address attached to it and that's it.
Change Instagram emails from the web
If, on the other hand, you use the famous photographic social network mainly from the Web and would like to find out how to change the Instagram email in this case, the procedure you must follow is the one described below.
To begin with, open the browser you generally use to surf the Net (eg. Chrome) and connected to the Instagram home page. Once this is done, log into your account by clicking on the link Do you have an account? Log in which is located at the bottom and filling in the fields on the screen with your login details, then presses the button Log in. If you use Facebook to log into Instagram, click the link Accedi con Facebook and enter your login credentials to the social network.
Now that you see the Instagram Home, click on the symbol of thelittle man placed in the upper right part of the page, in such a way as to go to your profile and press the button Edit the profile which is located at the top.
On the new page that will load, locate the field E-mail attached to the section Private information, click on it, delete the email address currently listed and type in the one you want to use instead. Finally, apply the changes made by clicking on the button Send down below.
After completing all the steps above, you will receive an email from Instagram to the old email address. The message is in English and notifies you that the previously used email address has been changed. In the event that you have entered an incorrect e-mail address or in any case if you have second thoughts, you can immediately fix it by clicking on the link revert this change contained in the email just received.
Within a few moments, you will also receive another e-mail message through which you will have to confirm the changes made. Then click on the button confirm e-mail address content in the body of the message and the changes made to the account will be applied immediately.
