How to make a poll on Instagram
As I mentioned earlier, however carry out a survey on Instagram you need to create a story and use the interactive sticker Survey included in the stickers of the social network. As you probably already know, Stories can only be created using the official Instagram app, which is available for both Android and iOS. If you haven't done it yet, then, download the app on your device, log into your Instagram account and press the symbol of cottage located at the bottom left.
Then tap on the symbol (+) located next to the your profile photo (it is found at the top, under the heading Stories) and create a new story using aimage or video saved on your device or, if you prefer, a new content captured with the smartphone camera (by pressing theanello located in the center of the display, at the bottom).
After choosing the content to publish in the Instagram story, press the symbol of thesticker located at the top and, in the menu that appears from the bottom, tap on the interactive sticker Survey. Then type the question you want to ask your followers in the text field Ask a question…, tap in the fields Yes e No to customize the two answer options that can be voted on by users (at the time of writing it is not possible, unfortunately, to add more than two answers for each survey) and, after having double-checked to be sure that the question just formulated is correct from the point from a grammatical point of view, presses on the voice end located at the top right to complete the operation.
Now, place the survey where you want it most and, if you wish, embellish your story further by adding text, inserting new stickers or drawing freehand on the image. To perform these operations, you must use the tools made available by Instagram, which can be recalled by pressing on the icons located at the top: then tap on the symbol of thesticker to add a new sticker; presses on the symbol of pencil to draw freehand on the image, or press the symbol Aa to add text.
As soon as you are satisfied with the result, press the button Your Story located at the bottom left to publish the survey located within the story you just created. From now on, your followers will have 24 hours to respond to the survey. As you well know, in fact, once 24 hours have passed from the publication of the story, the survey will disappear along with it.
View the survey results
After creating your Instagram poll, you will surely want to view the responses that are rated by users. One of the most interesting aspects of Instagram polls, in fact, concerns the possibility of view the survey results in real time, that is, which users have already participated and, even more interestingly, which are the answers that have voted. Are you wondering how you can view all these stats? I'll explain it to you right away.
First, view the story containing the survey you posted earlier. It therefore follows the symbol of the cottage located at the bottom left and tap on yours profilo's photo which is located under the heading Stories. As you can see, you will immediately be shown a preview of the percentage of responses that each option has obtained. But how can you see in detail the name of the users who participated in the survey and, above all, the answers that each of them voted? Viewing these details is very simple: press the symbol of theeye located at the bottom left to see the users who viewed the story and those who voted for it.
At the top of the screen, you will find indicated the total number of votes for each answer option. Under the heading Views, instead, you will find listed all the users who have watched the story (including those who participated in the survey), while under the heading Voters you will be able to see the names of those who, in addition to looking at the story, have actually expressed their opinion on the question posed in the survey. Next to the name of each voting user, the opinion that the latter has expressed will also be indicated (eg. Username - voted "answer").
Please remember to view the statistics regarding your survey before it disappears along with your history after exactly 24 hours from its creation. In fact, once 24 hours have passed from the publication of the story, you will no longer be able to retrieve these statistics.
