Download Instagram on iPad
If you want download Instagram on iPad, the first step you need to take is to open theApp Store by touching the stylized "A" icon on a blue background that you find on the home screen of your tablet. At this point, select the tab Search located at the bottom right, type "Instagram" in the search bar at the top and press the button Search on the iPad keyboard to start searching for apps that match the terms you typed.
As you may have noticed in the past, some apps produced by Instagram are available in the search results (eg. Boomerang e Hyperlapse), many third-party apps dedicated to increasing followers (many of which should be avoided, as I also explained to you in my tutorial on how to increase followers on Instagram), but not the official Instagram app.
This happens because, by default, the App Store only shows apps that are optimized for iPad, and Instagram, at the moment, is not. To view the apps optimized for iPhone and get the possibility to download Instagram on iPad, you need to tap on the item filters located at the top left and select the option first Supports and then the option IPhone only give the menu check if you press.
Now, locate Instagram in the list of available apps and proceed to its installation by pressing the symbol of nuvola (or its pulsating Get, if you have never installed the app on your iPhone) located next to its icon. You may be asked to verify your identity using Touch ID or entering your Apple ID password.
If you don't find Instagram in the list of available apps, try opening the collection Social network: the bus proposed by the App Store, scroll the menu that opens until you locate Instagram and proceed with the installation of the app, pressing the nuvola (or its pulsating Get) located next to its icon. Again, you may be asked to verify your identity via Touch ID or Apple ID password.
If you can't even locate the collection Social network: the bus in the App Store, try to retrieve Instagram from the list of apps you downloaded with your Apple ID (this can only be done if you previously downloaded Instagram on your iPhone using the same Apple ID configured on the iPad).
To proceed, select any App Store listing (except the one Search) and tap on your profile photo located at the top right. In the box that opens, tap on the item Shopping, select the scheda Tutto, search for "Instagram" in the appropriate text field at the top and proceed with the installation of the Instagram app by pressing the symbol of nuvola placed next to its icon.
Once the installation of Instagram on iPad is complete, you will find the app icon on the home screen, as if it were any application for the famous Apple tablet.
Using Instagram on iPad
Now you can start using Instagram on your tablet. Once the app is started, if it is too "small", enlarge it by pressing the button 2x located in the lower right corner of the iPad screen.

If you don't have an Instagram account yet, instead, tap on the item Sign up by phone or email and fill out the forms that are proposed to you to access the social network (as I also explained to you in my tutorial on how to register on Instagram).
Once logged in, allow Instagram to send you notifications, responding in the affirmative to the related warnings that appear on the screen and then ... start using Instagram as you always have on your iPhone or Android smartphone.
At the top left you can find the icon of camera, through which you can create photos and videos to add to your story or share with specific users (for the first use, you will need to allow the app to access the camera and microphone, by pressing on the respective items); at the top right is the inbox with private messages, while in the center of the screen there are stories and feed with Photo and video posted by the people you follow.
Finally, at the bottom of the screen you can find the icons to access the main Instagram screen (the casa); explore the most popular content of the moment and search for photos and videos (the magnifying glass); post new photos and videos in the feed (the symbol [+]); view notifications (the heart) and manage your personal profile (thelittle man).

Using Instagram Web on iPad
Doesn't the "expanded" view of Instagram on iPad allow you to fully enjoy the photos and videos posted by the people you follow? So, if I can give you some advice, connect to Web version of the service, through Safari, and create a collegamento to the latter on the home screen of your iPad: in this way, you will get an Instagram icon like that of the app, but which will refer to the Web version of the service (which is seen at full resolution and does not show "enlarged" images) .
The only limitations of Instagram Web compared to the official Instagram app concern the production of content: in fact, all the filters and photo editing functions present in the app are not available and it is not possible to upload videos. Having made this necessary premise, let's get to work!
To use Instagram Web on iPad, launch Safari, connected to Instagram.com and log in to your account by pressing the button Log in and then pressing on Continue with Facebook (to log in via your Facebook account) or by filling out the form with username and password. If you don't have an Instagram account yet, tap on the item Sign up using your email address and phone number and fill out the forms that are proposed to you (as also seen in my tutorial on how to register on Instagram). If requested, you agree to store your login credentials, in this way you will not have to authenticate each time the service is opened.
Once logged in, tap on the icon sharing (the square with the arrow inside, top right) and select the item Add to Home from the menu that opens. Choose, therefore, the name to assign to the link to Instagram to add on the home screen by typing it in the text field that appears on the screen and themes on the item Add to complete the work.
Mission accomplished! Now all you have to do is go back to the home screen of your iPad and there you will find the icon of Instagram Web: pressing it, Safari will automatically open and you will be shown the Web version of Instagram, whose interface is practically identical to that of the app, so it is useless to dwell further on this topic (if you need specific information, read my tutorial on how Instagram works).
In case of second thoughts, if you wish, you can delete the link to Instagram Web from the home screen of your iPad as if it were a real application, then performing a prolonged tap on its icon and pressing the button (X) which appears on the latter.
