When you add a comment with mention under the photos and videos of others, you are shown a balloon indicating that you can send everything in the form of a direct message. If you want to prevent this from happening, press on x which appears next to the item Send as direct message above the writing box.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding what you need to do to mention on Instagram by acting on an image yet to be shared, the first step you need to take is to take and customize a photo, type any caption with which you want to accompany the image in the '' appropriate text field attached to the screen used for sharing, select any social networking services on which to post the content as well as Instagram and possibly indicate the place of the shot by pressing the appropriate command.

After sharing, the person or persons mentioned will receive a notification indicating that a tag in their name has been added to your photo. The other user can also view and choose whether to make the photo in which you have tagged him visible to third parties or not by accessing the section of Instagram dedicated to his profile and pressing the button depicting a little man that is located on the right.
