Preliminary information
Before explaining to you, in detail, how to see posts archived on instagram, you may find it useful to know how content storage works on the famous social network and from which devices it is possible to do so.
First of all, you must know that it is possible to archive posts and stories on Instagram from smartphones and tablets, through the social network app for Android and iOS devices, while on a computer only the function to archive photos and videos published on your profile is available. in the Instagram application for Windows 10.
That said, you can manually archive the photos and videos uploaded to your profile (and, if you change your mind, you can show them again) and choose whether to automatically archive your stories 24 hours after their creation. Furthermore, it will be useful to know that once you have archived a content, it will only be visible to you (i.e. the user who created the post or story).
How to find archived posts on Instagram
The procedure for find posts archived on Instagram, including "overdue" stories, is quick and easy. All you have to do is log into your profile and select the item archive. How to do? I'll explain it to you right away!
Android
view posts archived on Instagram su Android, take your device, start the app of the famous social network and, if you have not set automatic access to your account, enter the data of the latter in the fields Telephone number, email address or non-contact e Password, then press the button Log in, to login.
Now, tap on thelittle man located in the bottom menu, press the ☰ button, top right, and select the option archive from the menu that appears. In the new screen that appears, you can see all the content that you have posted in your Stories and that was automatically archived after 24 hours.
How do you say? Is the archive completely empty despite having created stories on Instagram in the past? If so, it means that automatic archiving of content posted in your Stories is turned off. To activate the function in question, press on the item Change the archive settings in Settings or tap on the icon of three dots (top right) and choose the option Settings.
In the new screen that appears, move the toggle next to the option Save to archive da OFF a ON, in order to automatically save the photos and videos published in your stories in the archive of your account after 24 hours from their publication.
To view, instead, the posts published on your profile and manually archived, access the section archive of your Instagram account, tap on the item Archive of stories e seleziona l'opzione Post archive give the menu to compare.
To retrieve previously archived content and make it visible again on your profile, tap on the post in question, press the icon of three dots e scegli l'opzione Show in profile. For the detailed procedure, you can read my guide on how to recover photos stored on Instagram.
iPhone
To find posts archived on Instagram from iPhone, start the app of the famous social network and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account. Then tap on thelittle man located at the bottom right, to access your profile, press the ☰ button and select the option archive.
In the new screen displayed, the posts you have manually archived are listed: by tapping on content of your interest, you can view the data of the post in question, such as the publication date, description and data relating to views and comments received.
It will be useful to know that, at any time, you can make previously archived content public again: to do so, click on post of your interest, tap on the icon of three dotsat the top right, and select the option Show in profile. Automatically, the content in question will be "transferred" from the section archive to the list of posts published on your profile.
If, on the other hand, your intention is to view the archived stories, access the section archive of your account, tap on the item archive visible at the top and choose the option Stories, to view all the stories automatically archived 24 hours after their publication.
If you used to create stories on Instagram but, despite this, in the section archive there is no content available, it means that you have turned off automatic story archiving. In that case, go to the section archive of your account, tap the i icon three dots, at the top right, and select the item Settings from the menu that appeared below.
On the screen Story options, move the lever next to the item Save to archive da OFF a ON And that's it. Would you also like to automate the archiving of posts published on your Instagram profile? If so, I am sorry to tell you that this is not possible.
The only solution to archive a post is to proceed manually, by pressing the icon of thelittle man located in the menu at the bottom, by tapping on content of your interest, by clicking on the relative icon three dots and choosing the option Archive. computer
As mentioned in the introductory lines of this guide, it is not possible to access the Archive section of your account through the web version of Instagram. However, if you have a PC with Windows 10, you can do this using the official application of the social network.
If this is your case, start the Instagram application, tap on thelittle man visible in the menu located at the bottom and, on your profile screen, press the icon of theclock, top right.
In the Feed, you can find all the photos and videos that you have manually archived and, by pressing on content of your interest, you can also view the data, such as the publication date and description. Also, by tapping on the icon of three dots and choosing the option Show in profile, you can "retrieve" the post in question and make it visible again in your Instagram profile. By pressing, instead, on the item Delete, you can permanently delete the selected content.
If, on the other hand, you want to see the list of automatically archived stories, I'm sorry to tell you that it is not possible to do this even using the Instagram app on Windows 10.
How to see messages archived on Instagram
If you are wondering if it is possible see messages archived on Instagram, I'm sorry to tell you that the answer is no. In fact, the famous social network does not allow the archiving function of private messages. However, you can create and download an archive of your account data, including all sent and received messages.
If you are interested in downloading an archive of your Instagram account data, start the social network app, tap on thelittle man, to access your profile screen, press the ☰ button and select the option Settings give the menu to compare.
Now, tap on the items Safety e Download the data, make sure theemail address displayed on the screen is correct (or enter your preferred email address in the field Email) and tap the button Request the download. To confirm your intention, enter the Password of your account in the appropriate field and press the buttons NEXT e end, in order to start the creation of the data archive associated with your account and receive it via email at the email address indicated above.
Once this is done, within 48 hours of your request, you will receive an email containing a link to download the archive in question. Then press the button Download the data contained in the email sent by Instagram, re-enter the Password of your account and tap the button Download the data, to start the download.

In case of dubbi or problem
If you have followed the instructions I have given you in the previous paragraphs but, despite this, you still have some doubts regarding the procedure to see the posts archived on Instagram, I suggest you access the service center of the famous social network, to try to find the answers you are looking for in complete autonomy.
To proceed, start the Instagram app on your device, tap on thelittle man in the menu located at the bottom, press the ☰ button and choose the option Settings. In the new screen that appears, tap on the items Quick e Service center, enter the question of your interest in the field How can we help you? and press the icon of arrow (on the button vai if you have an iPhone) to view available answers.
If, on the other hand, you are unable to access the section archive of your account and would like to report the problem and get support, press on the items Settings e Quick and select options Report a problem e Something does not work. Describe, then, the problem encountered in the field Post comments e fai tap sul pulsating Send, to send your report. The Instagram staff will get back to you as soon as possible.
How to see posts archived on Instagram
