Put long videos on Instagram with IGTV
The first solution I recommend you try to put long videos on Instagram is IGTV, an app that was created by Instagram (also available as a section integrated in the app of the same photographic social network) available for Android and iOS thanks to which it is possible to publish videos exclusively vertically that can last up to 10 minutes for "standard" users e up to 60 minutes for users who have many followers or who have a verified profile.
To post a long video on Instagram, go to the section IGTV from the Instagram app by tapping on the icon television located at the top right (in Home) or start the service app of the same name, available for Android e iOS.
Then, create your channel: tap on the icon of thegear placed on the right, presses on the item Create a channel, fai tap sul pulsating NEXT twice in a row and then on the button Create a channel.
Now, you can finally proceed with the publication of the video (which as I have already told you must be oriented vertically): press the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead located on the right, select the video you want to upload to your channel, click on the item NEXT, write the title and Description of the video in the appropriate text fields, edit the video cover pressing the item immediately under the cover set automatically, tap the button Public And that's it.

As I mentioned in the introduction, you can upload long videos to instagram also resorting to some video editing applications that allow you to manually cut videos and then upload them to the photographic social network. Let's take a closer look at a couple of solutions that may be right for you.
Adobe Premiere Clip (Android / iOS)
One of the first solutions you can take to cut videos to upload to Instagram is Adobe Premier Clip, the mobile counterpart to the popular Adobe Premier Pro video editing software. It is available for free on both Android and iOS and is quite simple to use.
After installing and starting the app, press the button Subscribe to create your Adobe account or press the button Log in (if you already have one). Once logged in, presses the button capacitor positive (+) lead, choose whether to record a video on the spot or upload one already saved locally or on a cloud service. Once you have uploaded (or recorded) the video to crop and import to Instagram, press the button Free form to access the Premiere Pro editor. Then use the slider to divide the video into clips of 60 seconds or less and, when finished, save the final result by pressing the button Share located at the top.
Now you just have to share the clips on Instagram: open the official Instagram app, tap on the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead placed in the center (at the bottom), press the button Select multiple items (the square symbol), select the video clips in the correct order to make the video continuous and publish the content on Instagram by always pressing on NEXT e Share.
iMovie (iOS)
You use a iPhone? If so, you can split the video to upload to Instagram into multiple parts using iMovie, the video editing application included “standard” on iOS (and also macOS).
After launching iMovie on your device, select the tab Projects, pigia sul pulsating capacitor positive (+) lead, tap on the item Footage, select the video you want to split into several parts and select the item Create film (down). Now, tap the timeline, presses the icon of scissors and uses the slider to split the video into multiple clips of 60 seconds or less. Story Cutter for Instagram (Android)

To eliminate the advertising present in the free version of Story Cutter and to choose the cut to be applied to each video, it is necessary to purchase the full version of the app, which costs 3,99 euros.
After installing and starting Story Cutter on your device, press the button Record to record a video "on the fly" or press the button Gallery to use a video that is already saved in your device's Gallery. As soon as you have recorded or selected the video of your interest, select the cut to apply to it (the only one available for the free version is that of 10 seconds) e pigia sul pulsating Select.
As soon as the video processing procedure is completed, press the button View Story that appears on the screen, in order to preview the final result: if you are satisfied with it, close the preview of the Story by swiping from top to bottom and proceed to load the various "clips" of the movie that you have divided with Story Cutter on Instagram.
Then start the Instagram app on your device, log into your account (if necessary), press thelittle man located at the bottom right, tap on the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead placed next to your profile photo, tap on the symbol of Gallery and upload the videos you want to include in the Story.

Long Stories (Android)
If you use a device Android and the solution I proposed in the previous lines did not satisfy you, you can try Longstories: a semi-free app that, as its name suggests, allows you to "override" the time limits of the videos uploaded to Instagram Stories. To remove the advertising banners present in the free version of the app it is necessary to make in-app purchases starting from € 2,09 per item. Having said that, let's see how the application works.
After installing and starting Whatsaga on your device, press the buttons Select Video o Create Video to select a video already in your phone's Gallery or to record one at the moment. After selecting the video to upload or after recording a new one, fill in the field Enter fonder name to assign a name to the folder in which to save the video and press the button OK.
Now all you have to do is press on the voice Instagram Story from the box that appears on the screen and you can proceed to upload the video to Instagram directly from the app of the well-known photographic social network: to do this, press thelittle man located at the bottom right, tap on the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead placed next to your profile photo, presses the symbol of Gallery and upload the videos you want to include in the Story by selecting them from the folder you created earlier.

Limitless Stories (iOS)
If you have a device iOS, the apps I have told you about so far are not for you, since they are not compatible with the devices of the "bitten apple". But fear not: in this case you can resort to other solutions, such as Limitless Stories: an app that allows you to split a long video into short videos to use in Instagram Stories. Its operation is quite simple: just select the video you want to divide into several parts, set the cut you prefer and that's it. While being able to download and use Limitless Stories for free, I point out that to remove the watermark applied to the videos it is necessary to purchase the Premium version in the app, which costs € 2,29.
After installing and starting Limitless Stories, tap on the icon Instagram located at the bottom left, tap the blue button Pick Video, select the video you want to upload to Instagram, use the editor located at the top to cut (possibly) a portion of the video that you are not interested in and tap on the item Choose located at the bottom right to proceed to the next step. Wait, then, for the video to be processed and, at the end of the procedure, first press the button Open Instagram and then on the voice apri per confermare l'operazione.
At this point, you just have to proceed with the creation of the Story directly from the Instagram app: press on the symbol of thelittle man located at the bottom right, tap on the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead located next to your profile photo, click on the icon Gallery (bottom left) and upload the videos you want to include in the Story, being careful to put them in the correct order.

CutStory (iOS)
If you have one iPhone, another app that might be right for you is CutStory: also is a semi-free solution that allows you to easily split videos into separate clips of any length. I define this solution as semi-free because the free version of the app imprints a watermark on the generated videos. To remove the watermark it is necessary to make in-app purchases starting from € 1,99.
After installing and starting CutStor on your "iPhone by" presses the button Video located at the bottom left, select the video you want to act on, press the button Save located at the bottom right and, in the screen that opens, presses the button Instagram (15s) to proceed with cutting the video optimized for Instagram and wait for the video to be processed.
As soon as the processing of the movie is completed, you can proceed to upload the various clips that make up the entire movie that you have divided with CutStory to Instagram: start the Instagram app on your device, log in to your account (if required ), presses on the symbol oflittle man located at the bottom right, tap on the symbol capacitor positive (+) lead located next to your profile photo, tap on the symbol of Gallery and upload the videos you want to include in the Story.
