Don't be followed on Instagram anymore
As I told you at the beginning of the guide, since there is no dedicated function to stop being followed on Instagram, to succeed in the enterprise it is necessary to take advantage of the function for the block of users offered by the social network.
This is because when you go to block a user on Instagram, the referring account not only no longer has the possibility to see your profile and related contents on the social network but also stops being your follower. However, considering that your intent is not to block the person in question but only to make him stop following you, once the block is enabled you can then proceed with the unblocking in order to make your profile visible again but ... with one less follower!
Once the block is disabled, in fact, the reference user does not automatically go back to being your follower. For more details continue reading, you will find explained how to proceed from smartphone (Android and iOS), PC (Windows) and Web (any browser) right below.
Yes smartphone
Are you interested in understanding how to stop being followed on Instagram by acting through the app of the famous photo social network for Android, iOS and Windows? Then, first of all, grab your device, unlock it, access the screen where the icons of all applications are grouped and press the Instagram one.
Now that you see the main screen of the app, go to the user profile that you don't want me to follow you anymore. You can do this by selecting his name or avatar in any of the sections of Instagram in which he is present (comments, likes, etc.) or, again, by carrying out a direct search after tapping on the symbol of the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen, typing the nickname in the field Search at the top and selecting the relevant suggestion from those you see appear.
At this point, taking into account the explanation given in the previous lines regarding the block, presses the button [...] which is at the top right, select Block from the menu that opens and confirm your choice by tapping on the item Yes, I confirm (your Android) or Block (on iOS). Then press the button attached to the message that appears on the screen that confirms the correct execution of the operation.
Then wait a few seconds and then proceed to unlock the "offending" user. To do this, just tap on the button Unlock that you find directly on the person's profile and on the one in the notice that appears. Then, press the button attached to the message you see appear on the screen that confirms the correct execution of the operation.
In addition to this, as I have just indicated, you can unblock the user you blocked by going to your profile by tapping on the symbol oflittle man at the bottom right, pressing the button with the three lines horizontally up, up Settings, on the item Accounts blocked in the section Privacy and security of the menu that has opened, by pressing on account name and tapping on Unlock.
From computer
As I told you, not being followed on Instagram anymore is also possible from a computer, precisely using the official application of the service available for Windows 10 PCs. To proceed in this sense, therefore, start Instagram on your computer by going to the Start menu and clicking on the relevant link attached to it.
In the window that opens on the desk, go to the user profile that you want me to stop following you. You can do this by selecting his name or avatar in any of the sections of Instagram where he is present (comments, likes, etc.). Alternatively, do a direct search by clicking on the symbol magnifying glass which is at the bottom, typing the nickname in the field Search at the top and selecting the relevant suggestion from those you see appear.
Now, based on what was stated in the previous lines about blocking users, go ahead and block the account that you no longer want to be your follower. To do this, click on the button [...] at the top right, choose Block from the menu that appears and presses on again Block to confirm what your intentions are. Then press the button Ignore in response to the warning that appears on the screen.
Then wait a few moments and then proceed with the unlocking by simply clicking on the button Unlock that you find at the top of the profile of the reference user. Then click on the button Ignore in response to the warning that appears on the desktop. Done!
As an alternative to what I have just indicated, you can proceed by going to unblock a particular user by clicking on thelittle man which is at the bottom right, pressing on the symbol ofgear at the top of your profile, on the entry Accounts blocked annexed to the section Account from the menu on the left, selecting the user's profile from the list that opens and clicking the button Unlock.
From the Web
And from the Web? How can you stop being followed on Instagram? Let's find out right away. First, open the web browser you generally use to surf the net from your computer (eg. Chrome), connected to the home page of the social network and log in to your account (if necessary).
Now that you see the Instagram feed, head over to the user profile that you don't want me to follow you anymore. You can do this by selecting his name or his avatar in any of the sections of Instagram in which he is present (comments, likes, etc.) or, again, by carrying out a direct search by clicking on the search field at the top, typing the nickname and selecting the relevant suggestion among those that appear automatically.
Now, based on what was explained in the previous lines about the block, click on the button [...] which stands at the top and selects Block this user from the menu that appears. Then click on the button Block to confirm your will. Then press on Ignore in response to the warning that appeared on the screen.
Wait a few seconds and then proceed with the unlocking. To do this, simply press the button Unlock found at the top of the reference profile and confirm the operation by pressing again on Unlock in the window that opens. So click on the button Ignore in response to the notice that appears and is done.

Proceeding as I indicated in the previous lines, you managed to stop being followed on Instagram by one or more specific users. - From the Web - Click on thelittle man which is at the top right, click on the symbol ofgear at the top of your profile page, select Privacy and securitya from the menu that opens and check the box next to the item Private account nella nuova page visualizzata.
Don't be followed in stories
You don't want a user to stop following you completely but you want to prevent them from viewing the stores you post on Instagram? It can be done. To do this, follow the instructions on what to do below.
- Yes smartphone - Press on the item The tua storia on the Instagram home, presses the button with thegear and choose the users to hide the story from by tapping on the item Hide the story a or you decide to make it visible only to close friends by pressing on Closer friends. - From computer - Click on the icon of camera which is in the upper left part of the Instagram window, press on the symbol ofgear which is always at the top left of the new screen displayed and click on Hide the story a to choose which users to hide the story from. If, on the other hand, you want to decide if and who to allow replies to your story, select one of the options available in the section Allow replies to messages. To confirm the changes, click on the item end top left.
