Before delving into the heart of this guide and actually seeing how to hide an Instagram post from a person, let me provide you with some preliminary information that you must necessarily know to complete the operation.
First of all, I want to tell you that on Instagram, unfortunately, there is no function to regulate the privacy of individual posts, unlike what happens on Facebook or other social platforms.
However, do not despair, because you can take alternative routes to achieve your goal: block the user of your interest, thus preventing them from seeing all your posts and not just some content in particular, or hide some posts in the archive, thus preventing them from being made visible to everyone and not just to one person alone. Block a person on Instagram
Let's see, first, what you need to do for block a person on Instagram, in such a way as to prevent you from viewing all the posts you publish on the photographic social network.
Smartphones and tablets
To block a user from smartphones and tablets, start the Instagram app on your Android or iOS device and log in to your account. Then you have to go to the profile of the person you want to block: then tap on the icon of magnifying glass located at the bottom left, write his username in Campo di Ricerca appeared at the top and select his name from the menu that opens.
Once you are on the profile of the person in question, tap the button (...) at the top right, select the item Block from the menu that opens and confirms the operation, by pressing on the item Block from the box that appeared in the center of the screen.

If you have second thoughts and want to unblock the person in question, go back to his profile, tap the blue button Unlock and confirm the operation by selecting the item Unlock from the box that appeared on the screen. Alternatively, click on the button (...) located at the top right, select the item Unlock from the menu that opens and confirms the operation, tapping once again on the item Unlock.

You want to block a user on Instagram by acting as computer">computer? Well, in that case know that you can do it by proceeding either from the Web version of Instagram that from its application for Windows 10.
- Instagram Web - access Instagram from its main page, write the name of the person you want to block in Campo di Ricerca located at the top and select his name from the menu that opens, in order to go to his profile. At this point, click on the button (...) located at the top of the page, select the item Block this user and confirm the operation by clicking on the item Block in the opened box.
- Instagram for Windows 10 - access Instagram from its application for Windows 10, click on the icon magnifying glass placed in the lower left corner of the window, write the name of the person that you are going to block in Campo di Ricerca at the top and select his name from the menu that opens, in order to go to his profile. Then click on the button (...) at the top right of the window, select the item Block and confirm the operation by clicking on the item Block in the box that appeared on the screen.
After blocking the user of your interest, he will no longer be able to see the content you publish on Instagram (posts or stories that are) and he will not even be able to search for your profile. Of course, you won't be able to see its content either, at least until you unlock it.
If you regret the choice made and want to unblock the person you blocked just now, go to his profile, click on the button Unlock and, if you are acting from the Web version of Instagram, confirm the operation by selecting the item Unlock from the menu that opens. Alternatively, click on the button (...) located at the top, select the item Unblock this user / Unblock and confirm the operation by clicking on the item Unlock present in the box that opens.

Archive Instagram posts
If, on the other hand, you have decided to archive a post on Instagram and thus prevent everyone from viewing it, read on to find out how to proceed both from mobile and from computer">computer.
Smartphones and tablets
If you wish to archive Instagram posts by acting from smartphones and tablets, start the Instagram app on your Android or iOS device, log in to your account and go to your profile by tapping on thelittle man located at the bottom right (or on the thumbnail of the your profile photo, if you have added multiple accounts).
At this point, locate the photo or video of your interest, tap on his preview and press presses the button (...) located in the upper right corner of the box relating to the content in question. In the menu that opens, then select the item Archive And that's it.
This way, the content you have chosen to archive will be hidden from everyone. Only you will be able to continue to see it: to do this, click on the button (≡) located at the top right, select the item archive and, if necessary, press on the item Post present in the menu Archive ⌵.
From the menu in question, you can possibly restore the display of the content that you have just hidden, by tapping on its previewby pressing the button (...) che si trova in alto a destra e selecionando la voce Show in profile give the menu check if you press.

If you prefer to archive an Instagram post from computer">computer, know that you can do it by using the Instagram application for Windows 10. After installing and starting it on your PC and logging into your account, click on the symbol oflittle man located in the lower right corner.
Identify, therefore, the post you want to archive and click on his preview, in order to view it in full. In the screen that opens, click on the button (...) at the top right and, in the menu that opens, press on the item Archive.
At this point, only you will be able to see the content just hidden: just click on thelittle man located at the bottom right, click on theclock located at the top right and scroll through the list of archived posts, in order to identify the one of your interest.
If you have second thoughts, to restore its content display in the feed, click its previewclick on your button (...) posto in alto a destra and selects the voice Show in profile from the menu that opens. Easier than that?
